Arm mobility tips for treating a shoulder with bursitis

Q: I was recently diagnosed with bursitis in my right shoulder. Can you tell me if it’s better to keep my arm mobile or to immobilize it?

A: Keeping it less mobile is a better solution, but you don’t have to completely immobilize it.

You can also use warm compresses on the area. If there is no reason not to take ibuprofen, then you can take that to help relieve pain.

Basically you should rest it, but you don’t have to go to an extreme.
